Brenda Strong is an innocent and sweet young girl who is mostly a small role in the film Catch Me If You Can. In the movie, she is a candy striper and working for a hospital in Atlanta. One time, Frank visited his friend who was staying at hospital. He met her accidentally when she was blamed for the neglect of duty. Frank tried to comfort her, and made her happy. At that time, she was looked like pitiful. But it pushed Frank to pose as a doctor as soon as possible. Frank lied to Brenda and everyone that he is a pediatrician. At the same time, Frank usually cares for Brenda. Hence, Brenda falls in love with Frank quickly.
While he falls in love with Brenda Strong, she tells to Frank that she was kicked out by her parents because she had an unmarried abortion. Frank suggests that if she comes home on the arm of a graduate of the Harvard Medical School, Daddy might not be so judgmental. At the same time, Frank asks Brenda to marry him in order to help Brenda Strong win back her parents. For this reason, Frank decides to assume a new identity to impress her father, Roger Strong, and then Frank happens to be the Assistant Prosecutor of New Orleans, LA.
With the help of Brenda Strong, Frank climbs to the top of his life. He wants to settle down with Brenda and call a truce with F.B.I. agent. On the contrary, Carl wants to catch him and knows he will marry some one. In addition, Carl guesses he can’t change his name and searches the wedding announcements in recent newspapers. As a result, Frank was almost arrested on his wedding. When he escaped from Brenda’s home, he told the truth to Brenda and made an appointment to meet in two day at Miami International Airport.
Unfortunately, Brenda discloses the news of her appointment with Frank to F.B.I. agent. This movement makes Frank disappointed and sad and that proves Brenda doesn’t love Frank from the bottom of her heart. If I were Brenda, I would creep stealthily up to Miami International Airport and be together forever.
Actually, Brenda Strong of the film is quite different from the novel. I think the director combined two roles, Brenda and Rosalie in the novel, and used this method in order to combine the story and let movie more dramatize.

I agree that combining the characters of Brenda and Rosalie was a good choice dramatically, but I'd like you to explain more about the differences between the characters.
I like you use of "come home on the arm of," by the way.
